“Even if you’re not perfect, you’re limited edition.”

Being Mentally disturbed doesn’t only mean having suicidal thoughts! Three main things can affect a person’s mental health.

  • Anxiety.
  • Depression.
  • Fear or Phobia.

The one alone can cause much damage, then think of a person dealing with all three at the same time? Maybe we can sympathize, but empathizing can be hard when people have no idea what the other person is dealing with.

Living in a place like Pakistan can be difficult where people have fixed mindsets about certain things, and mental health is still a stigma. I know some people who used to make fun of my anxiety and overthinking, and it was so wrong and toxic for me at that time because I didn’t know what I was going through exactly. When I started looking at it, I found out that millions of people are like me and face the same issues. But the problem is why anyone’s not talking about mental health? Why is it still considered a bad thing or a failure? Why is it a negative thing? A mentally tired person can be weary of his condition but is not mentally ill.

The Hate is Real.

Amal made me think about this more, so now I want to work on improving that. The main idea is to start a group therapy session to bring people with different mental health issues together, meet people physically (Or virtually) and discuss their problems by encouraging them to speak about theirs. Our organization will be non-political and not religion-based, where people won’t judge or harass others because, in the end, we are here to spread positivity and not toxicity. We’ll try to contact people who are already working on this cause to add professionalism in the group. People who want professional advice can have it easily.

That’s what support group Looks like, where there’s only uplifting and listening.

We had to reach some people and ask their opinions on our idea. So, I decided to ask one of my friend’s friends, Abdullah. Abdullah and I bonded over our mutual problem; Anxiety. I asked him some questions, and he being the nice person he is, gave me his response briefly.

The Questions I asked, and His response.

Another person I approached was Hafsa. She is a public speaker and gives free consultation and training on personal growth and public speaking. I don’t know her personally, but she was kind enough to answer some of my questions.

The Questions I asked.
She send me all voice notes, so I sum this up.

The above two examples suggest that kindness is still somewhere, and if you can’t find it? Be the one to show it to the others so that they can show kindness to others. If you can’t see the change? BE the change.

Because Talking Helps.
